We Made it... sorta!
The Website is unlocked and alive!
Most of us met our deadlines!
Piper has dubbed this website version 2.4.9, due to the fact that he's got a list of cosmetic touch-ups to do around the site. The rest of us met our deadlines, though, and the website is fully functional on schedule.
As a reward, Piper gave us a two week vacation (he kicked us out of the office and said he didn't want to see any of us until June 1st - some wanted to stay, but Piper was fully armed with silly string, so....).
The important part is that Version 2.5 (-ish) was published on 5-15-15 at exactly 15:15 o'clock!
Piper strongly believes that a goal with a bit of silly is one that people will work harder to achieve. He may be a bit crazy, but apparently it's working for him. There was a lot of tension in the office when the seconds kept ticking, but the update kept cycling. When it finally finished, with 5 seconds to spare, there was a lot of cheering.
That's when we found out how much silly string Piper had stashed around the office. When the chaos died down, and all that was left was me hiding under a desk that Piper was standing on triumphantly, he looked down and said "Hey, Cheese... Which one of us is going to make the announcement, and which one is going to clean up this mess?"
Sorry, boss.... You gave me two weeks off!
